미성에 가까운 크리스토퍼 크로스(Christopher Cross)의 고음도 이 노래가 유쾌한 러브송이 되는 데 일조한다.
영화 〈아서(Arthur)〉의 주제곡으로 영화는 1981년 개봉됐다.
국내에 소개됐는지는 알지 못한다. 다만 여주인공 이름이 라이자 미넬리(Liza Minnelli)라는 사실.
1992년 영국 웸블리구장에서 열린 프레디 머큐리 추모공연 당시 마지막 무대에서 ‘We are the champions’을 부른 이가 라이자 미넬리다.
인터넷에서 영화 〈아서〉의 스토리를 뒤져보니 이렇다.
놀기 좋아하는 백만장자 아서(더들리 무어)는 워킹 클래스(working-class)의 린다(라이자 미넬리)와 사랑에 빠졌다. 아버지는 당신이 소개하는 여자와 결혼해야 전 재산을 상속할 수 있다고 말한다.
아서는 사랑과 돈을 두고 고민하다 결국 린다를 택한다.

A video tribute I made to a great movie "Arthur". It stars Dudley Moore as the drunken millionaire who is being forced to marry a woman he dispises. He decides to fight for his right to make his own decisions when he meets Linda (played by Liza Minnelli), a wannabe actress who works at a diner. Also stars the great Sir John Geilgud as Hobson, Arthur's protective butler.

"Arthur's Theme (Best That You Can Do)" is a song performed and co-written by American singer-songwriter Christopher Cross, which was the main theme for the 1981 film Arthur starring Dudley Moore and Liza Minnelli. In the US, it reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and on the Hot Adult Contemporary charts during October 1981, remaining at the top on the Hot 100 for three consecutive weeks. Overseas, it also went to number one on the VG-lista chart in Norway, and was a top ten hit all around the world. The song became the second and last American number one hit by Christopher Cross.
